Ciara’s career has gone strenght to strenght. And what this cove means to her

Ciara the pop-star feature in the FAULT Magazine, threws it back to the nineties for her Fault Magazine cover with a bright and colorful photoshoot.
The 34-year-old singer talked about everything from her hair to her career to motherhood in the interview and opened up about how ‘she never allowed the color of my skin or gender to hold me back.’
She also divulged in the piece that she has a tendency to be ‘be a bit OCD about things.’
On Instagram Ciara says, experimenting with her hair gives her an inherent sense of identity and pride. Hairstyles have always been an extension of creative process in her career.
The shoot seemed to echo her sentiments about bold hairstyles like crystal encrusted cornrows and in many cases, the styles sent a literal message.
In one image, she sported a ‘vote or die’ tank top with an over-sized afro that was adorned with clips that read ‘boss’, ‘queen’, ‘drippin,’ and ‘damn.”I never allowed the color of my skin or gender to hold me back from what I was meant for. With every door that was closed to me, I found a new and better one to open.’

And, in another style, Ciara’s hair was done in locks that were swept to one side with huge wooden beads and rings decorating the bottom as well as square wooden beads that read ‘melanin.’
‘I want the younger generation to look at my journey and despite many setbacks, I never gave up on pursuing what I dreamed,’ the pop star said.
‘I never allowed the color of my skin or gender to hold me back from what I was meant for. With every door that was closed to me, I found a new and better one to open.
‘I stayed true to my values and morals and never lost myself along this journey…and that’s not easy in this business. And most importantly, I want to be remembered as someone who cared and had an impact in the lives of the youth and beyond.
